RULES AND REGULATIONS

Soccer teams will be made of 7 or 11 players. There will be 3 categories divided by age for every competition.

Premier league: age free, from 18 years old and up.

MASTER: from 38 years old and up.

SUPER MASTER: from 48 years old and up.

NOTE: MASTER and SUPER MASTER categories have a minimum age requirement to play but no maximum. A 55 year old player can play in any of the 3 categories. Every team is going to play at least 3 matches within their qualifying rounds, each round will have four teams and the winner and second best of each one will qualify for the elimination zone. Given the fact that matches will take place every day (one day after another), matches for 11 players will have a length of an hour divided in two 30 minute halves), and for teams of 7 players, 50 minutes divided in two 25 minute halves. If necessary, due to climate, the organizations may decide to reschedule the matches. but only if absolutely necessary.

• The matches will be managed by professional referees of Rio de Janeiro football Federation. Matches will be ruled by FIFA Rules and Regulations, except for the following exceptions:

• Maximum of 6 substitutions are allowed per match.

• Substitutions are free, players who go out, may come back. Every time a player goes out or comes back, this counts as a substitution

• More than one substitution during the last 5 minutes of the match will not be allowed, in order to avoid speculation with loss of playing time.

• Every team will wear appropriate outfits , shorts and T-shirts according to FIFA Regulations. In case of similar colors, the organization will supply the team with alternative shirts.

• Matches will be managed by professional referees belonging to the Soccer Federation of Rio de Janeiro.

DISCIPLINE BOARD

It will be composed of members of the Rio de Janeiro Football Federal Commission. As this is a championship of friendship among amateur soccer teams coming from all over the world, players are expected to show a sportsmanship in accordance to the event and to FIFA rules.

SCHEDULE: Matches will be played at the following times :

FOOTBALL 11: 8 AM9:30AM11:00 AM 6:00 PM 7:30 PM and 9:00 PM.

FOOTBALL 7: 9:00 AM10:00 AM6:00 PM7:00 PM 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM.

These schedules were defined to avoid high temperatures and to allow participants to take advantage of the city and beaches of Rio de Janeiro during the day or go out in an excursion.
